The garden is the place to be when you are feeling a bit down
As well as when life is treating you well and there’s no need to frown
The birds and the trees and butterflies flittering around the flowers
Is soul uplifting even if you are caught in sudden rain showers

“It’s a wonderful World” was Louis Armstrong’s most beautiful song
And we must all agree he was most certainly not wrong

As we walk down the paths looking up at the sky
We know there is a God looking down from up high

We who live in Blue Gill surely must realise how very lucky we are
Here in a city we have a garden and dam and open spaces not far
Where we can walk, run, cycle, fish and the children in safety can play
We certainly know that when we came to Blue Gill it was our lucky day.
